Most of PROTEGELES’ financing comes from grants from the European Union within the frame of its Safer Internet Program (SIP).
This program is aimed at enabling a safer use of Internet, tackling illegal and harmful content and promoting the creation, within the European context, of a positive environment for the development of the industry linked to the Internet. The program is structured around three action lines:
Ana Luisa Rotta PROTEGELES is developing two different projects, belonging respectively to the first and third action lines mentioned here above and this also means that we have been granted two different subsidies: one as a hotline and the other one to carry out awareness-raising campaigns and programs. For more information, you can visit the SIP webpage.
ROTEGELES obtains financing from particular donors and from other associations working on the field of child welfare.
PROTEGELES’ aim is to employ as much resources as possible in the effective protection of children. This is the reason why it often looks for external financing for the accomplishment of its studies and the launching of its informative, preventive and awareness-raising campaigns. All costs coming from our studies have been financed by public institutions while the materials used in our campaigns have been acquired with donations coming from companies working in different fields. This is how we can finance all our materials, from the webpage to our magazine CONECTATE, not needing to extra-charge the association accounts.
A combination of public and private financing and particular donors is at the basis of all activities developed by PROTEGELES.
